In “I Giardini del Caramante”, we wanted to take it a step further: to make ecology and experiential tourism as founding and distinguishing features of the project.

At “I Giardini del Caramante”, we are constantly seeking wisdom and beauty to achieve a harmonious and sustainable integration with the natural environment. With this in mind, we strive to move beyond the “green” narrative, which is all too often tainted by concepts and interests that have little to do with ecology.
For example, in addition to selecting natural materials, the aim was also to minimise those considered recyclable but which ultimately remain harmful to nature and humanity. So ban plastics even if they are considered recyclable. After more than two years of research and design, we think we are on the right track.
Specifically, you will find:
100% cotton curtains, wooden bathrooms and platforms, paths made of stabilised, drainage-friendly natural quartz, embankments built using early 20th-century roof tiles, stone washbasins, rock wool insulation, 99.5% natural and eco-sustainable soaps, bamboo toilet paper, gifts made from cork or other natural materials, and minimisation of the use of concrete and plastic materials, including recyclable ones.
